Summer Night Lights Comes to South Park Recreation Center 

Councilmember Curren Price on Aug. 5 joined hundreds of neighbors at South Park Recreation Center as part of the 2020 Summer Night Lights, which expands programming to recreation centers and parks citywide. During the event, Councilman Price passed out “grab & go” meals, and CD 9 care packages that included masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, and other essential items.

Summer Night Lights is a public and private partnership by the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Gang Reduction & Youth Development (GRYD) and The GRYD Foundation. The summer program is offered across 32 sites in Los Angeles, providing meals, activities, resources and fun for families.

The following are dates and locations this week for SNL "grab & go" events scheduled for Council District 9: Ross Snyder Rec Center: Aug. 12 from 5-7 p.m. and Green Meadows Rec Center: Aug. 13 from 5-7 p.m.
