Summer Night Lights Comes to Ross Snyder and Green Meadows

During the week of Aug. 10, Councilmember Curren Price joined hundreds of neighbors at Ross Snyder Recreation Center and Green Meadows Recreation Center as part of the 2020 Summer Night Lights, which expands programming to parks for families to come together safely.

Participating families received groceries, “grab & go” meals and snacks, as well as backpacks, coloring supplies, face masks and other essential items. Individuals also had access to FREE COVID-19 testing onsite.

Summer Night Lights is a public and private partnership by the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Gang Reduction & Youth Development (GRYD) and The GRYD Foundation. The summer program is offered across 32 sites in Los Angeles, providing meals, activities, resources and fun for families. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SNL programming this year included “grab & go” meal distributions, virtual activities and workshops to enjoy from home. For more information, click here
