Street Market at Vermont Square Park Marks End of Summer Saturdays Extravaganza

As summer comes to an end, Team Price closed the season with a bang with a Street Market at Vermont Square Park on Aug. 28. Marked as the last event of Councilmember Curren Price’s Summer Saturdays Extravaganza, more than 100 neighbors from the Ninth District got in on the fun as they enjoyed live music, food, cooled off with delicious popsicles, and took part in art activities. Information booths were made available, Beats by Dre headsets were raffled and the community wrapped up the summer as family in good cheer.

Councilman Price, who hosted the series of events in August, offered his deep appreciation to the local organizations that collaborated with his office to bring the fun and games including, Voices Neighborhood Council (VNC), Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA), Community Build, Inc., LAPD 77th Street Community Police Station, Nena's Organics, The A’s Crepes, 7-Eleven and Pampered Life Naturals.
