Slow down on Broadway! Recently, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), in partnership with the Office of Councilman Curren Price, completed the installation of two sets of speed tables on Broadway by 38th Street. These street improvements, which are flatter and longer than the traditional speed humps, are appropriate in major corridors where operating speeds are higher than on local or collector streets.
"Through these initiatives, we hope to lower driver velocity and increase overall safety for our children and families in District 9," Councilman Price added.
The posted advisory speed for a speed table is typically 20 miles per hour.
