Mobile Clinic Brings COVID-19 Vaccines to District 9 Seniors

The Office of Councilmember Curren Price is bringing mobile COVID-19 vaccination units directly into District 9 neighborhoods for thousands of local seniors 65 and older and healthcare workers.

The first mobile COVID-19 clinic in CD 9 arrived at South Park on Feb. 9, with about 1,000 local seniors receiving the first of two guaranteed doses of the Pfizer vaccine over the course of a four-day event.

Team Price not only rolled up their sleeves to help register community members aged 65 and older but they were on deck picking up and dropping off individuals who did not have a way to get to the park. This labor of love will continue as Team Price, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and Core (Community Organized Relief Effort), make their way to Green Meadows Recreation Center from Feb. 16 to Feb. 19 and Vermont Square Park from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26 to continue administering the vaccine to these high-risk individuals.

Please see the flyers below for more details on future opportunities in our community. To schedule an appointment or request a ride (must reside in District 9), please call Councilman Price’s District Office at (323) 846-2651. You may also click here to be considered for an appointment later this month.
