To celebrate Small Business Week and Hispanic Heritage Month, honored Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Team Price recognizes siblings Stephanie and Marco Miranda, owners of Miranda Logistics, and sister company Grit and Gravel. This rising local family-owned business in the district offers services in earthwork, logistics, hazardous waste, and material wholesalers. Stephanie and Marco are involved in various infrastructure projects across the Los Angeles region. Their Mexican and Salvadoran heritage demonstrates their family's immigrant story that is present throughout many communities in Los Angeles.
When asked where they find inspiration, Stephanie and Marco expressed that their biggest influence is their immediate family. Without the guidance and wisdom of their loved ones, they feel they wouldn't have gotten this far. “ We grew up in LA and have deep roots in the community. We invested in South LA because we have helped shape it and believe funding should stay within the local communities,” added Marco.
Councilmember Price salutes their investment in CD 9 and wishes them continued success. If interested in employment opportunities with Miranda Logistics or Grit and Gravel, please visit their website at www.threewayhauling.com
