Eliminating traffic-related deaths is a top priority for Councilman Curren Price’s Office. With an increasing number of people walking and biking, it’s important that District Nine implements transportation safety improvements to make streets safer for everyone.
This year, the Office of Councilmember Price collaborated with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to complete construction of the 5.5-mile Main Street Complete Street project from Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to Imperial Hwy. This project, which includes 230 new curb ramps, five intersections with bicycle turnout boxes and three new traffic signals among other safety features installed, is designed to ensure the safety and accessibility for communities in CD9.
If you have questions about the changes that have been completed along Main Street, or are interested to learn more about what’s coming ahead, please don't hesitate to contact Councilmember Price’s District Office at (323) 846-2651.
