In an effort to get 100 percent of South LA to participate in the Census 2020 Count, Councilmember Curren Price, in partnership with Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Census 2020 Initiative, came out to Green Meadows Recreation Center on Aug. 22 to help assist neighbors with filling out their Census form.
During the drive-thru/walk-up event, participants received a goody bag, a $5 gift card and had the opportunity to get a free COVID-19 test.
“We are setting the stage for our next generation; the ball is in our court to come together and get counted,” added Councilman Price. “Participating is critical to get our fair share of resources funneled into our community. It only takes a few minutes to make a huge impact that will benefit communities across Los Angeles.”
