Supported by Councilmember Curren Price, 10 students from Holmes Avenue Elementary School were treated on Feb. 25 to a special outdoor movie night hosted by the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, LAPD Community Safety Partnership (CSP) Officers and the Pueblo Del Rio public housing community.
To create a full on movie-going experience, the local children received a movie ticket admitting them into the Alba Center. During the showing of Peter Pan, the students also enjoyed popcorn, candy bags, chips and beverages.
The students selected were rewarded for their academic excellence during distance learning, including arriving on time to their zoom classes, turning in their homework on time and being actively engaged during class.
Great job, students! Team Price joins our local partners in acknowledging your efforts during a most extraordinary time.
