District 9 Mobile Vaccine Clinic Makes Stop at Nativity Catholic Church

On April 22, LA City Councilmember Curren Price hosted alongside St. John’s Well Child and Family Center a mobile walk-up vaccination clinic in the church parking lot of Nativity Catholic Church where they were able to inoculate 400 District 9 neighbors.

The pop-up event was the second in two weeks organized in collaboration with local faith-based organizations aimed at bringing the vaccine directly to underserved neighborhoods in District 9.

As part of his ongoing grassroots outreach, Councilmember Price launched in early April a program partnering with local churches across South LA to ensure neighbors had access to the vaccine. Over the past year, there have been nearly 70,000 positive coronavirus cases and 1,029 deaths in the District, one of the hardest hit in the City. Between the vaccination site at USC, the mobile clinics across CD 9 parks, and now churches, more than 85,000 COVID-19 doses have been distributed in Councilman Price’s District at City-operated sites.

If you have any questions about vaccines or are in need of a ride to get your vaccination, contact Councilman Price’s District Office (323) 846-2651.
