COVID-19 Funeral Assistance for CD 9 Neighbors

Are you experiencing financial hardship due to a COVID-19 related death in your family? Councilmember Curren Price recently established a $200,000 bereavement fund, which will provide financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses. All Peoples Community Center will administer the CD 9 Bereavement Program, which will offer reimbursements of up to $1,000.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families in our community,” said Councilmember Price. “Though we can never take away the pain and suffering of those mourning the passing of a loved one, my Office is working to provide the much-needed financial relief to help our neighbors cope with their loss.”
