Councilman Curren Price Visits Blast Victims

On Aug. 10, Councilman Curren Price had the unique opportunity to visit some of the families currently residing in the corporate apartments that his Office offered to victims impacted by the 27th Street fireworks explosion that occurred on June 30.

The Councilmember checked in with these neighbors to ensure that they not only felt supported but heard. He also hand-delivered Team Price care packages containing at-home essentials and $10,000 checks as part of the Councilmembers’ $1 million relief plan. The CD9 fund is meant to provide upfront financial assistance in the wake of this emergency.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by this devastation, please call Councilman Price’s District Office at (323) 846-2651. You can also visit
