Councilman Curren Price Offers COVID-19 Antibody Testing for Neighbors 

On Sept. 25, Councilman Curren Price joined Dr. Douglas S. Harrington MD, Fellow of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology and Chairman of the GUARDaHEART Foundation, for an informative discussion on COVID-19 antibody testing and to announce a special opportunity for District 9 neighbors to learn if they had a past infection with the virus. The no cost COVID-19 antibody testing community event in CD 9 will take place Oct. 13-15 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Councilman Price’s District Office (4301 S. Central Ave.)

The SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing being provided in CD 9 is one of the most reliable antibody tests available. It has a sensitivity of 100 percent and a specificity of 99.6 percent performance evaluations. A positive result indicates that an individual has been infected with the COVID-19 pathogen and has developed some level of immunity.
