Renters Rights & Eviction Protections During the COVID-19 Crisis

On April 30, as part of a public education campaign, Councilman Curren Price hosted a livestream presentation with the Los Angeles Housing+Community Investment Department and Public Counsel to share pertinent information on the added rights and extra protections City of LA renters have during the public health emergency.

During the live in-studio, the panelists covered a multitude of questions, including whether or not landlords can still issue three-day notices to pay or quit; what City of LA residents should do if they cannot pay rent; and how long tenants have to pay back rent when the health crisis is over.
