Extensive Street Improvements Come to CD9

Over the summer, Councilmember Curren Price worked hard with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to bring additional safety improvements along the Broadway/Hill corridor near Clinton Middle School. Whether someone is walking, biking or driving in the area, there are noticeable safety improvements in place, including high visibility crosswalks and Leading Pedestrian Intervals (LPIs), which give a head start for pedestrians to cross the street. In the near future, CD9 will be implementing other changes such as pedestrian flashing beacons, speed feedback signs and speed tables, among others.

"My team and I are doing everything possible to implement the necessary changes to make our streets safer for our children, seniors and families," added Price.

If you have any questions about what what Councilman Price is doing to curb traffic deaths and serious injuries, call his District Office at (323) 846-2651.
