District 9 Neighbors Get Counted at Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center

On Sept. 30, Councilmember Curren Price joined the City’s Census 2020 Initiative for a special visit to Gilbert Lindsay Recreation Center to provide local neighbors with assistance on filling out their census forms, as well as free COVID-19 tests.

During the community event, dozens of households who participated in the drive-thru/walk-up opportunity completed their Census forms and also received a $5 gift card and goodie bag.

Attention District 9: the deadline to fill out your Census 2020 form has been extended to Oct. 31 so there is still time to be counted. Getting counted in the census means equal representation at all levels of government and money for our communities for vital programs and services in education, housing, healthcare, transportation and so much more for the next 10 years.
