Vital Information to Know for the 23rd Annual Central Avenue Jazz Festival

The upcoming 23rd Annual Central Avenue Jazz Festival returns on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. along Central Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Vernon Avenue.

The two-day festival will celebrate the legacy of jazz on historic Central Avenue featuring music, games, food, art, and informational tents hosted by a variety of non-profit organizations. In addition, a list of food vendors and organizations can be found at www.centralavejazzfest.com. 

Also, please find VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION below, regarding street closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect beginning Friday, July 27 at 10 a.m. until Monday, July 30 at 4 a.m.

  • Central Avenue between MLK Boulevard and Vernon Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic. 
  • The following side streets (both West and East sides) will also be closed to vehicular traffic between Central Avenue and the alley entrance: 40th Place, 41st Street, 41st Place, 42nd Street, 42nd Place, 43rd Street and 43rd Place.

All cars parked on these streets will be cited and towed; please refrain from parking in the aforementioned areas to avoid citation.
