LA City Councilman Curren Price Treats 1,200 Seniors to Lunch!

On Sept. 19, Councilman Curren Price hosted about 1,200 older adults at the 19th Annual Senior Appreciation Luncheon at the LA Convention Center in CD 9. 

The community event featured live musical entertainment, lunch, transportation and a resource fair.

“Our seniors are the glue that hold our communities together because they are the eyes, ears and souls of our neighborhoods,” Price said. “They are integral to moving our neighborhoods forward, and together we can and will enrich the quality of life for South LA.”

The FREE event included a full course meal for lunch, a diverse musical lineup, a Zumba cardio workout, and a resource fair with dozens of City and community partners offering vital information. Live musical performances were provided by the Blue Breeze Band and Vilma Diaz y La Sonora.
